For the first time GRR build a team of photographic experts for the State Library of NSW.
It was an amazing privilege to work for the State Records on this project and be part of the DIGI team. Max Dupain (1911-1992) is considered as Australia's most significant photographer, well known for his bold and uber‐modernist beach, architecture and advertising images. Over his career he took hundreds of thousands of pictures of Sydney, decades before the invention of digital photography. The State Library of NSW (SLNSW) is the proud custodian of Max Dupain’s entire body of work, containing his most iconic images – including The Sunbaker and Bondi, 1939 – as well as many never seen by the public!
